James starts by using a print of Dudjom Rinpoche, displayed in the gompa, with a handritten prayer he composed. Dudjom Rinpoche was the lama whom C R Lama most admired, said James. The prayer is in his own hand and is translated in English as
"Look at this photo,
Then look at your mind,
Look at the one who is looking,
If you see this, you are the excellent one."
